My favorite classic wagon is the Nomad. For modern wagons, I'm tossed between several models on looks. On looks alone I'm torn between the Saab 93 and Audi A4.

The latest incarnation of the Saab 3-9 Aero is certainly a looker.

I'm tempted by one for sale close to me, 2008 model with 19k miles for under $20k, downside of course being that no one knows how to work on a Saab anymore so if anything does go wrong it can get very costly, I don't know, but parts supply might be limited too.

Ralph has a place in his heart for wagons! Back in 1998 Ralph was an instructor for a club I drove with at Waterford Hills Race track in Michigan and he came looking for me, so he could drive my turbo charged '91 Audi 200 quattro avant on the track!

I am guessing that the Magnum will always be very special to him...

Oh and here is my stock 150mph Mustang 5.0 slayer

Glad you like the looks of the BMW better...but if you were driving that BMW all you would see is the back end of that Magnum anyway

And why is that, might I ask? I didn't even specify which Touring. I don't know the hp rating of a potential Magnum SRT, but I'm fairly sure the M5 Touring can keep up with it.

I yfou prefer to compare dollar to dollar, it'll obviously outpace a similarly priced BMW in a straight line, but find a mountain road...

So yes, if by your statement you mean you'll be faster on the highway in a Magnum, compared to a similarly priced BMW, you're probably right, but that doesn't really matter to me as I stay close to the posted speed limit on the highway anyway. ...well, close-ish.

I'm with the Viking, BMW makes a way better looking wagon. The Magnum (and the 300 which is just a sedan version of the magnum really) have never appealed to me. Bulky and now they seem to have a "thug" following. Like most Chryslers they end up on you work you ride lots and eventually end up rolling the hood with monster chrome wheels on them.

The Magnum is quite different than the 300 and in my opinion not thugish

I have never been a BMW wagon fan and always found Audi's avant designs much more elegant

You people are acting like the Magnum would be brought back in its 2008 form.

Judging from the latest looks of the Charger on which it was based... it probably won't be that far off.

Nice! I loved my 06 Magnum R/T AWD. Just the interior blowed, but the outside was unique and bold.

Yes, Ralph is the man and is going to run that entire company in 10 years..... interesting that he's now head of the SRT design group now.

Check out these designs from some guys on lxforums.com:
