No, I don't believe you do. I have known many "Christians" who attend church regularly that are not very nice or honest individuals. My thought is that Church is meant to help you and provide guidance on your spiritual journey but is not a requirement to have a relationship with Christ. Really when you think about it, if church was a requirement, how would we know which Church is the correct church to go to? They all preach the word of the Bible but have their own little twist on it and way that they feel that you should live your life. I am a regular attender, however it took me years to find a church that was a good fit for the direction that I felt God wanted me to go in. Most of the time my major revelations in my journey take place outside of church and have nothing to do with anything that I have learned in church. Being a Christian, I believe, involves incorporating Christ into your whole life not only on Sunday or in a certain set of walls.
