Is There Astronomical Proof For An Historical "Star Of Bethlehem"? | uCatholic

This is long but interesting.

"From the producer of “The Passion of the Christ” comes a documentary that looks to use science and astronomy to prove the historical existence of the Star of Bethlehem, whose existence has been debated for centuries by historians, scientists and scholars."

This is interesting, however I don't believe the star was a natural phenomenon, rather I believe it was a supernatural event created by God.

Or by Satan as it did not lead them to the manger but to the house he was living in when he was close to 2 years old. Now who wanted Herod to know where Jesus was so he could kill him?

Yes the Star of Bethlehem was God , see it moved around and then disappeared and then it was gone and then they found it again , I do not think that stars or planets in the sky move around is a short time that it was ......Even the other supernatural sighting of angels appearing before Shepard's and giving them a message from God

With God, all things are possible.

But you must not know the "rest of the story" like Paul Harvey use to say. The wise men tipped Herod off but they did not go back to tell him where the babe was since they were told in a dream not to.

There is evil and always has been evil in the world. Some men wanted to kill Jesus as soon as He was born. We live in a fallen world. Jesus came to save us from eternal death and have salvation.

Bill O"Reilly wrote a book on the death of Jesus and Jesus' life and says there is proof of the wise men.

Actually, this is not so. For example, can God make a rock so heavy that he can't lift it? Not all things are possible for God to do. Shall we add others?
