It is his responsibility to make that decision regarding whether or not he receives Christ as Savior.

I know you don't believe this, even though you will say you do. The reason you don't believe it is given in your next statement.

He knew who would believe in Christ and who wouldn't.

Now you contradict yourself, because if God has predestined some to believe and others to not believe, it is completely NOT THEIR CHOICE TO BELIEVE. This is your contradiction.

And He places the responsibility on each person to make a volitional choice with regard to his eternal salvation. God holds each person who is mentally able to understand the issue involved in salvation, responsible to make that decision regarding Jesus Christ.

You revert back to your original statement, which completes your contradiction. This is a further example of how I know that you do not believe in ET. You preach it, but you don't take it seriously. There are no other alternatives. You would not dare to let your own children "risk" their eternal destiny by making "bad choices" during their lives. That is my point, and you confirm it here.

And no one in their right mind would consider for even a second, murdering their child so that he wouldn't have to face that decision.

You show me by this statement that you underestimate the seriousness of salvation. Anyone who can automatically get into heaven as an infant should be put to death; this will insure their salvation. There can be no reason to allow a child to grow up and live a full life on earth, while putting their eternal future in peril. (I do not believe in this doctrine, but since you do, you ought to think about it more carefully.)

And killing new believers to keep them from backsliding? A believer can't lose his salvation in the first place. Backsliding has nothing to do with losing salvation.

Since you believe "once saved always saved," this doesn't pertain to you. However, many fundamentalist churches teach whole-heartedly that converts can backslide. My refute to this is, if there is such a risk, then the only REASONABLE answer is for them to die as soon as they convert.

You have made a faulty and completely distorted attempt at rationalizing away the reality of the unbelievers eternal future in the lake of fire.

I see contradictions in your post, Mike. My post was the most REASONABLE conclusion to the doctrine of ET/annihiliation. I am finally truly convinced that NO ONE believes in these doctrines of devils, because their actions speak otherwise.

John 3:36 ''He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.

Revelation 20:10 'And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Do you think that by quoting Scripture, which I believe in, that you somehow refute what I have written? The "wrath of God" does most assuredly exist; just not as you are expecting it. Otherwise you would NEVER, EVER allow your own children to risk experiencing it. NEVER.

The lake of fire I do believe exists as well; unlike you, I believe it is to help humanity into Christ, and will serve its purpose.
I'm sure you will have more justifications for why you claim to believe in ET, Mike. However, I can tell you that I am not bothered by it any longer, I am at peace in my heart about it; I am fully convinced that no one believes in ET/annihiliation, even though they may preach it all day long.

I have spoken my convictions, I have finished.

Blessings to you, Mike.
Brian

And that just shows how easily universalists can deceive themselves.
