A game in which you shoot a small basketball at a pretty short hoop. The backboard will usually move back and forth at some point.

ESPN Zone also had a version of this with a 10 foot hoop, except the backboard was stationary. I liked some of the things they had there, but it was insanely expensive.

Yeah. We went there for a company party last year. Basically like eating a microwave dinner.

Loved this place back in the 90's for pop-a-shot. Time limit use to be 2 minutes, now all machines are set for 1 minute.

Many fond memories of going to the ESPN Zone, sad to see it go to be honest.

At least Chicago still has Dave and Busters....try the eat and play combo, great food and great deal.
We do not have ESPNZone down here, we do have Jillian's downtown and Dave & Busters in one of the burbs we swalloed.

Always seemed more touristy and high-price. Ok place and all, but there's 100 other decent sports bars where you feel more at home/locally owned.

It sounds like the ESPN Zone franchise is closing doors nationwide. Planet Hollywood left years ago. I'm predicting that Rainforest Cafe will be the next to go... Who the heck goes to that place?

The answer to all of the above is the Jorts Brigade of St. Louis whenever the Cardinals are in town to play the Cubs.

Yea well, when I'm not eating at Gibsons or Mortons I don't mind having a BBQ chicken with veggies and potatoes for 6 bucks.

And I never understood people that went to arcades to play video games that are available on home systems. Seems like spending $20 to play a game for a day is a pretty big down payment on a game that goes for $60 in the store. Just a thought though.

I really don't think there is a hundred other sports bars with a bunch of arcade and interactive sports games in them. If you're referring to the occasional place with a golden tee or Shannanigans with one basketball hoop that doesn't count. Fail.
