My wife and I hope to be moving to Chicago next summer. We're already trying to get a feel for what kind of apartments are out there. We would like to be near the loop, millenium park, downtown, etc., but we haven't been able to find a place that allows large dogs (50 lbs+). We have seen some that allow small dogs, but none that would accommodate our lab. Also, our price range is some where between $900 and $1200. One-bedrooms are fine, as well as studios.
Can anyone help??
Thanks

Not sure of downtown, but if you were interested in moving a bit north (Oldtown, Lincoln Park), you could find dog-friendly places in that price range quite easily. But if you're set on being downtown, I'm not sure (as high rises and the like don't usually allow large dogs, and frankly, your labs probably wouldn't be that happy in a high rise).

I'm about to move out of a 3 bedroom coachhouse that is pet friendly and near dog parks in the west lakeview neighborhood, but the rent is about $1550 (I would stay, but am moving to Florida). That may be too expensive, but let me know (send a private message) if you are interested. If not, try going through search services, like homestead group, apartment finder, apartment people and they can really help
