My husband and I have only been in our current apartment since September and we can't wait to move. The landlord and owner are so cheap and neglectful it isn't funny. The windows are very bad and last week when my husband was taking the screens down, the storm window fell out of one of the windows and broke including the frame. I told the landlord and he told us to go to Ace to get it fixed. Perhaps I am wrong but isn't that the landlord's or owner's responsibility? My neighbour downstairs ended up taking it out for us because there was a piece of glass left in the window and he was worried for other people's safety. I should have left the window the way it was and called the city. My husband also cleaned the gutter on the side of the apartment during the winter because I was pregnant and a huge patch of ice formed and he didn't want me falling. The landlord knows the gutters are severely clogged and won't clean them.

I find it disgusting that landlords and owners could care less about their property. I can see why some people think renting is less stressful than owning a house but it doesn't make sense to rent when a tenant has to do the work the landlord should be doing.
