In many cases capitalism is a great example of the concept of democracy. If you do not like the price or value of the Tribune-buy the Sun-Times or something else. Last time I looked (as others have mentioned) you have a choice whether you want to buy the Tribune,something else, or nothing at all.

OK, fine. And anywhere you move, there's some government body or another there -- usually several -- vigilantly sticking its fingers into your wallet but never quite so vigilantly ensuring the money they yank out of it is being spent wisely. But no matter where you go, you'll never have to buy a Tribune or any other newspaper.
Apples and oranges. There is nothing "ironic" about the Tribune raising the price of its newspaper.
