Tell me everything you know about getting Theatre jobs (box office, etc) or Stage Makeup jobs (or just regular makeup jobs such as free-lance wedding/event, or full-time salary jobs) in the City. I would love to consider moving here after Graduation from college (BA in Theatre Studies: Focus in Stage Makeup).

Thanks all!

With your degree - you mostly only can work in Chicago, LA, or NYC - all expensive places to live!

Those are my 3 main choices, with NYC and Chicago being my #1 and #2's in no particular order and LA as my #3 ( I don't know much about LA)

Well, Life kinda sucks when your career limits you to live in certain places. I can work anywhere where they'd hire a CAD Designer / Technical Writer / Mechanical Engineer. Like in a cheap affordable small town like Bowling Green KY [I lived there 3 month contract job].

Maybe you can find work in any city as a Dept store makeup counter person too!

True, I mean, that will probably be a last resort, but I have always planned on moving into one of those big 3 anyway so it doesn't really bother be too much to need to live/work there.

Try Las Vegas too. Check if Houston has jobs too, it's a nice place to live!
