Default Schools with inclusion programs

Do you live in Chicago or in the suburbs? Lisle has a good inclusion program. My son has Asperger Syndrome and is in a regular classroom with an aide.

Default aspergers

Can you give me more information about the process you had to go through to get this aide?

Any public school should provide your son with services for Aspergers, if he has an IEP. I
In order to get services, you need to request a case study. You need to do this, in writing (have the principal sign it and then give you back a copy). The school then has 60 school days to do a case study. From the case study evaluation, they create an IEP which determines what services your child gets. This is individualized to your child's needs.
Here is the parent's guide handbook that takes you through this process for IL (including example letters used to request the case study, etc):

I also worked at the Pediatric Developmental Center in Chicago for about a year. They have a great program for children with autism or aspergers. You can check this out online at
