The nba is fixed. I've been preaching this for years.

I'm usually not one to blame things on refs, but this series was badly officiated.

The Bulls deserved to lose game 7 - with what seemed like turnovers on 8 consecutive possessions in the 2nd quarter. Gordon was a big ballhog and took a lot of terrible shots too (floaters instead of finishing at the hoop, unnecessary and hurried 3's).

But throughout the 7 games, Salmons, Gordon, and Rose were mugged countless times when driving on the basket and nary a whistle was blown. When the very even-keeled and quiet John Salmons gets a technical for complaining in game 6, you know something isn't right.

Boston had some no-calls as well, but nowhere near as much as the Bulls. The NBA has a bad reputation for not respecting rookies in terms of calling fouls, and favoring the established teams and home teams. I usually ignore those sentiments, but damn if it doesn't become apparent when it's your team that has the bad breaks.

Oh well, there's always next year.

I'm not going to say the the NBA is fixed or anything. I think that's a little bit extreme. However, the NBA certainly doesn't do any favors to certain teams. As was mentioned in a post before, the NBA has a reputation for not respecting rookies and young teams. It's not really a reputation though. It's basically fact. I mean, I have watched several national games or seen on ESPN or other national shows about how they won't ever make that call against that player, whether that player is LeBron or D-Wade or other veterans (i.e. Garnett, Pierce, Allen). Along with that are certain teams, especially ones that are defending champions, and in this case the Celtics. It's not a secret and it's pathetic. The game should be called the same for everyone but in the NBA that's not always the case. That along is why I might argue why home court in the NBA is probably the most important in the any league - home court with the crowd intimidating the refs really does make a difference.

The series that will get the most revenue for the NBA will be a cleveland v LA series. The officials will call all the games accordingly to ensure this outcome, with a slight edge to cleveland.

That's quite a prediction. Whoever wins, I hope there is another series like this one.

I called the boston LA series last year, with the edge to bean town.

I need to find a way to vegas while I'm not government property for this month.
