they raised it 1% because I said I would stay so early before my lease was up. last year it went up 3%.

i guess that's the long way to say that my building raises rates by percentage.

My current apartment building dropped all the prices by $200.00 dollars. Studios used to rent for about $1050.00-$1075 and now rent for $850.00 in L.A. We got a letter of renewal on the lease and the rent did not go up at all. I am assuming it is because of the Current economic situation. If people move out because the rent goes up, then it is harder for someone new to move in and pay more money for the apartment specially around this time because families are moving together and people are not renting as much because alot of people are unemployed.
