Why would there be a need for outrage if you didn't think they were comparably outrageous statements?

so what this thread proves is that you can't be an outlier if you want to go far in politics? you can't speak your mind. you can't exercise freedom of speach. what if she says is true? i mean, the blacks and hispanics in LA have been fighting a race war for over 15 years. she isn't very tactful but she has a point, believe it or not. is it her enthusiasm that makers her "looney?"

"The TRUTH is, Obama will legalize 12-20 million ILLEGAL ALIENS, and THUS SELL THE BLACKS, His own Race BACK into slavery!
The Illegals coming over pretty much hate African Americans.
He is going to unleash REAL racism upon his own people as they fight for jobs with the illegal aliens.
It has already happened in LA, just ask Ted Hayes!!"

I don't know about selling blacks into slavery, but in my experience people from south of the border don't like American blacks. While I its not the intention of illegal or legal mexicans to take away jobs from blacks, I belive that is what the effect will ultimately be. They may take jobs whites would otherwise do, but will probably have a disporportionate impact upon blacks.

I didn't even realize you were addressing me directly. I thought that as per usual you were just venting unto whomever would listen.

Obama made an effort to downplay the economy because as you recall the amount of publicized attention he paid toward it in the first weeks of his administration worked the brokers into such a tizzy that the market was shot into a downward spiral. I doubt that just because he is trying a paint a rosier portrait to the folks that watch the morning talk shows that he is ignoring the economy behind closed doors. The opposite seems to be true if you paid attention to last night's address which didn't touch on Iraq/Afghanistan once and only briefly touched upon Juarez. Nearly the entire hour was devoted to economy.

I cannot defend his special olympics comment. He was on tv and trying to be witty. Fail on his part though I can say I will be frist in line to spectate the bowling challenge he received.

Your point is what?
Any party that can pick Alan Keyes (the party, not the electorate) has some very low expectations. So I guess this lady could be acceptable.
