I am ploanning on moving to Chicago in the future for college, maybe my end of Sophomore year of college. If I live in Chicago, what is the average amount of rent I must pay?

Depends on where you go to school, and how close you want to live to campus, and how much space you want. You can get away with a studio in a decent neighborhood for $700-$750.

A studio can be found for less than that in a decent area.

The average studio is probably 350-425 sq feet. You will find bigger studios, but they obviously will be pricier.

Based on my rather extensive internet studies, (affordable) studio apartment prices right now around random parts of Chicago:

River North/Gold Coast/Streeterville: $900-1400
Loop: $1000-1400
Lakeview/Wrigleyville/Uptown: $550-800
Edgewater/Rogers Park: $550-800

Keep in mind the low end of these ranges are going to be likely pretty rough apartments... A $900 Gold Coast studio isn't generally a place anyone other than me would want to live, heh.

Anywhere west of the lakeside/lakefront generally gets progressively cheaper the further west you go.

That's a nice sized garage you have got there. The garages in my neighborhood are only able to shoehorn 2 small cars in there. Maybe 19x19 at most.
19 x 19 = 360 sq feet.

So your point is that some garages are bigger than studios? Yes, that is correct.
