I'm gonna be starting a new position at this I.T. company that's up on Cumberland near the Careerbuilder corporate office, and I'll be taking the Blue line from the loop....anybody that rides it, you got a decent estimate about how long it takes sans mechanical error stops to get from the loop to cumberland so I know how much time I got in the mornings?

From Clark/Lake, probably 35-40 minutes.

Congrats on the new job! Those are tough to come by. I think it may take you closer to 45 minutes in peak periods. Every time I have to be at O'Hare around 9 the trains are pretty jam packed heading to Career Builder and other Corps over there.

About 35 minutes during rush hour, longer during off-peak hours due to crews crawling all over the tracks between downtown and Addison, especially during the daytime. Of course, allow for house-to-station travel time, station-to-work travel time, and an average wait of about 4 minutes for a train during rush hour, about 6 minutes during off-peak daylight times.
