There is a Filipino restaurant that has been at 6407 N. Caldwell Ave (and Devon) for years. Alas, I have never gone there, but now you have another place to check out.

Plus each state is like a seperate country, where the term United States in not all that accurate.
Well, I agree that the country is generally heterogeneous, but I really couldn't agree that different states are like separate countries... Maybe once upon a time, but no more. Federal power has increased. Nationwide media and national chains have helped erode regionalization. These days, beyond simple little differences ("We call it pop, but they call it soda!") or a few areas that have a very, very distinct culture, there isn't a whole lot of difference between states. Certainly not anywhere near the difference between the US and other countries. (Except, say, Canada)

There's at least one Filipino in Wicker Park though (My SO)

The weather is a lot closer to Manila, ya feel me? At least in comparison to Chicago!

Yeah, the near north suburbs of Skokie, Morton Grove, Niles, & Des Plaines have a huge Filipino population. Public transportation is available to the city via CTA (Skokie Swift Yellow Line & Rosemont / Cumberland Blue Line) & Metra (Morton Grove, Des Plaines, Wilmette etc.). And of course when there's no traffic (lol), it's a quick drive from this area to many parts of the city.
