Does anyone know what this area is like? I saw a house for sale in the 127th and Parnell area. I don't really know anyone who lives in this area. So I'm trying to get feedback on the area, schools, crime, etc... Any info out there?

Thanks
Scar

Someone was murdered 3 blocks away from that intersection last week. Not a spectacular area. There's certainly worse in this town though.

Not a good neighborhood. I'm from the South Side, I wouldn't live there. It's the "hood." It's not diverse at all (if that's what you would like). The schools aren't good either. Go a little more west down 137th towards Blue Island and Crestwood. Those areas are nice, right by the city (a 25 min drive or so) and affordable. They're diverse and right near malls and shopping centers (127th and Cicero) so you don't have to constantly drive into the city.
