Is it possible to take the Metra from Arlington Park Station to Millennium park? Their website has completely confused me.

Take Metra's UP-NW line to Ogilvie Transportation Center in the West Loop. From there, walk 3/4 mile east, take a taxi, or take CTA bus 20 or 56 on Washington.

Downtown Chicago has five Metra stations. Millennium Station is served only by the Electric Line from the south suburbs and the South Shore line from Indiana.

We will have two youngsters with us, so buses and taxi's are not an option. Thanks for the info though. Maybe we will just drive down. Just out of curiosity, are strollers allowed on the Metra?

I don't quite see why buses or taxis wouldn't be an option, even with kids and strollers, but strollers are allowed on Metra trains. And CTA buses. And cabs. And it's really not a bad walk.

But if you insist on paying the parking fees, the Millenium garage is at least somewhat affordable.

Can kids ride in a taxi or bus without a childseat? We have a 2yr old and a 5yr old.

Of course. Just make sure the kids are completely wrapped in bubble-wrap before stowing them under the bus seat.

Seriously, no problem with buses or taxis. And make sure to bring swimsuits and dry clothes. The kids will love the Crown Fountain.
