Hey why not? I work at Wacker and Columbus on the 20th floor and was waiting for the windows to blow out any second.

I would totally do lunch sometime! I usually eat by myself. (small office.) do you guys think it will be impossible to drive tomorrow? I can't believe the one day I need to drive is the day the air show begins. I have to drive out to the west side by U of I in the morning, attempt to park in the Loop and drive back to Evanston in late afternoon.

No, but I saw the Blue Angels. Pretty impressive! Driving around Chicago today actually wasn't too bad and I passed right by north beach.

We were planning to go yesterday, but it ended up being so warm, I wasn't sure I wanted to stand around on a hot beach with a bunch of sweaty strangers so we stayed home. Saw a couple of nice shots of the Blue Angels out our windows though.

The Air & Water Show is not family entertainment. It is a military commercial for military spending, military aggression and recruitment. Even if you believe in the need for this waste of human and material resources, please don't approach it as entertainment. The families on the receiving end of these weapons cower in fear at the sight and sound of them, as they reign down death and destruction. For more in depth reflections on the real impact of the show, visit 8th Day Center for Justice
