Which would be Mayfair Park correct? I lived over there as a kid for some years.

The Foster Beach courts were featured in NBA Street Volume 2. Good times.

Honestly im not from chicago but if you can tell the difference between people playing an actual competative game of ball between people standing around and acting like they are playing but really looking to start trouble then it shouldnt be a big deal. I know that if you can play ball and arent scared to play, take some bumps then why not try and get in. But like i said if you've played pick up games you should be able to tell when a real game is going on vs trouble. I cant speak for any of these areas but i can speak for pick up games and respect, people respect a good game of basketball.

I play at like 18th and State - dont play as often as I'd like. The court looks maybe dicey if you're not from around here but really its pretty safe. Never seen anything more than the usual arguments about who-fouled-who.

union park or skinner park used to be OK... they are both east of ashland in west loop. There is another indoor gym right around there as well...a bunch of the ex bulls players shoot there.
