I personally live in Boystown (in Lakeview) and commute to the West Loop area and love it. I can take either train or bus to my work and just zone out, read, play Sudoku or just listen to music.

I'm a 25 year old girl and just moved to Chi May 1st if that makes a difference.
I was wondering when we were going to hear from you again. I am glad things are working out well. Did you go to the parade?

Hah, I'm here! Just don't have too much to contribute yet, with learning the city!

I sure did go to the parade and loved it!

So wait -- you're looking in Lakeview because you don't like Lincoln Park? And what exactly is it that distinguishes the two? Is there some magic that happens when you cross Diversey Avenue that it's suddenly a completely different place? Cuz it pretty much all looks the same to me.

Maybe if you explain a little better what you want out of a neighborhood we can help you a little better. Lincoln Park is one of the most desirable and nice neighborhoods in the city, so if you explain what you dislike about it, that might help us get a better handle on you and your personality so we can find the right place for you.

Lakeview looks like it has more of an edge while lincoln park looks more residential to me. Just a personal opinion.

If someone dropped you off with a blindfold 100 times in Lakeview or Lincoln Park and asked you to guess which one you were in, you'd probably guess right about 50% of the time. I can't think of two less distinguishable neighborhoods on the north side with the possible exception of Bucktown and Wicker Park.

Yeah, I have to agree with Drover. There isn't much difference at all. Also, River North has NO edge
