Not much different from living anywhere in the Loop (apart from New Eastside), so hardly a distinctively Wrigley-area disadvantage. I actually like the low-level rumble, but YMMV

Well, I guess if you're a big baseball fan, it's a great place to be...

Yeah, it's quite different unless your Loop flat happens to be within 200 feet of the track -- not just the track, but a station. And even if you do, none of the Loop elevated lines run 24/7 so you don't have to put up with that infernal *BING-BONG* "Doors Closing!" at 4:30 in the morning.

I believe after a certain time at night(I think about 9pm), that CTA train operators have to turn off the outside speakers of their train when doing those L railcar station announcements. Like you still can hear the speakers inside the car at all times, but during a lot of mid and later evening hours, you don't hear the outside L railcar announcements at all. Also after a while, you learn to tune out the rare times you hear noise(from the friction sound the L trains make, running over rails) from L railcars.

At least when you ride on the Brown Line, there are signs in front of where the first railcar normally stops at each platform, reminding train operators to turn off the outside speakers of their L train after about 9pm. On those signs, the 9pm time is mentioned in military time(21:00).
