No, we use reason and facts that show Chicago is not expensive for a large US City. Even including the increased $1.00 we will pay next year for 911 services.


If one loves, culture, transit, urban surroundings, diversity, etc. Chicago is a bargain in the US.

If you like suburban sprawl, your opinion on this irrelevant.

Oh like the fact that Chicago is losing population faster than any major city?
Don't claim to be enlightened with facts then turn a blind eye to the facts you don't like.
Heres a fact for you. Population loss is never a good thing. Federal funding is tied to population and with the 200,000+ people Chicago lost in the 2000s a lot of federal funding was lost. Come 2020 if trends hold Chicago will again lose more federal funding.
Guess who gets to make that up? You the taxpayer.

Chicago has been the regional warehouse for the poor for decades. It's time the suburbs take some of the burden, those costs are shifting away from the City.
