I am just curious about the public relations profession in Chicago. Do you work in public relations for a firm or are you the PR representative for a hospital or other business? I recently graduated and will be moving to Lincoln Park and am looking for a job/internship and was offered a position where I would hand out fliers for a PR firm (obviously I will leave this position ASAP as soon as another one is found.)

I do internal communications, but work in the same division as the PR folks- they're in house and make good money (starting the low 50s) but I have no idea how common that is.
