Interested in opnions on the talks that have recently been gaining steam about Palatine, Buffalo Grove, and Schaumburg among others, seceding from Cook County to form...LINCOLN COUNTY.
This desire was reiterated again after the Palatine Town president was reacting to the most recent tax increases.
The though is that since most of their residents are deferring to Lake County to shop, buy gas etc to save $$$, they are getting the raw end of the Cook County tax increase.
It would be a tiny county...

I would like to see Chicago's 10th and 8th Wards secede from the State of Illinois and be annexed by Indiana. The State of Indiana would then extend, from the area of Hammond's Horseshoe Casino, all the way to Cottage Grove Ave, in Chicago. This annexation would EXCLUDE the 9th Ward (Roseland, Altgeld gardens etc.), leave those problems in Chicago and Illinois.

Only the 10th even touches Indiana. The 8th barely even touches the 10th. It's mostly cut off by the 7th.
I think you need to plan a little further

You are correct. I checked the ward map. I wouldn't want the 7th ward, part of my "new county" in Indiana. The ward map was redrawn a number of years ago. That map is a racist piece political trash.
(50 wards in Chicago! Absolutely absurd.)
