I have to purchase hot sauce as a gift for someone tomorrow before I go out of town. It absolutely must be the hottest hot sauce on the planet. Every time I think I've gotten one hot enough, he can practically drink the sauce without so much as a flinch.

So, I'm going to try out Pepper Palace in Water Tower and Seven on Heaven (heard they have a whole 'wall' of hot stuff)...

Can anyone recommend something local that's 'tried and true'....?

Top 3 to look for:

Heartbreaking Dawns Cauterizer Trinidad Scorprion Hot Sauce --- painful even to sniff.

Dave's Ghost Pepper Naga Jolokai Hot Sauce --- Amazing stuff that at first seems almost sweet and within a few bites will have almost begging for the emergancy salt / beer / ice cream to put out the fire.

Satan's Blood -- a crazy chili extract that is thiner than many other hot sauces but packs heat into every drop.

Anything that has ghost pepper in it will be very very hot. If you can find the concentrate, just one to two drops will make even the most benign dishes almost unbearably spicy. In a good way though.
