I currently reside in Aqua (just moved here) and here is my view.

I would love to see other's views as well. I am one not to stay still and would love if anyone had a northern night facing view from Aqua by any chance.

You have the coolest view!
Love it. To bad a 3 bedrooms rents for almost 5k

Great thread, and thanks to you who posted photos!
A different angle- for those restless souls who escaped the small midwest towns, might I suggest a 40th floor nighttime view of the Dan Ryan, with 30+ O'Hare flights circling nonstop thrown in for bonus, say from Presidential Towers. I know the lake and hancock is the money view, but hey the Ryan and Ohare at night are energizing. Plus educational to wit Sunday morning traffic jams, things you never see in bumfork, not to mention early dawn Sears tower in the clouds from 2 blocks away.

reviving an old thread, view was one of my most important considerations when choosing an apt. Here is 73 east lake, where we eventually moved.

The lake view isn't important to me. It's a big body of water, you've seen one you've seen em all.

The best skyline views are those with a little bit of distance. A friend of mine lives on the top floor of a 4-story building near the Ogden exit on 94. That is the best view in my opinion: just close enough to make out details, just far enough away to see the whole skyline.

Hyde Park or Rainbow Beach both have stunning views of the entire city skyline.

The stretch of skyline seen on the Brown line between Halsted and Larrabee is pretty stunning as well. If for any reason (say aliens burnt it down or something) the Cubs wanted to move from Wrigley and build a new ballpark in the city limits that wasn't in Wrigley Field, I'd build it in this general area. The panoramic views of the Chicago skyline in the background would make those seen from PNC and Comerica Parks look like AAA cities.
