I can speak for myself and my family: we enjoy deep dish, but all of us, save for my dad, prefers thin crust.

Thin crust cut in party style (square cuts) can make a very bad day okay.

To stay on topic: Deep dish is a feast. Don't get Chicago deep dish pizza for dinner. Get Chicago style for a 5 course meal; 1 course is an appetizer, 2 courses a slice, and 2 courses another slice. 95%+ of the time I'm ordering a thin/"thin" crust pizza. If we have guests (from out of town), we can lower that figure to 50.1% of the time I'm ordering thin/"thin".
