I agree. If you do have the flexibility to leave at 11am everyday and come home at 7 or 8pm, then it won't be as bad.

Anyway you can visit on a weekday prior to picking an apartment, and do the commute? It's ... pretty bad.

Did you end up living in Chicago and how is your daily commute. I just got a job in Oak Brook and I prefer to live in Chicago. Can you shed more detail on you daily commute?
