I think that since this is east of the river, it's Lincoln Square. However, I do recall a heightened gang presence in the park years back. You'd have to check crime blotters and such to confirm. Personally, I've only seen the usual group of high school kids hanging out in the park, playing basketball.

Ronin Park is west of the river between Lawrence and Argyle: Albany Park. I think the area right by the park is OK; a little sleazey but OK.

Here's a little data for ya reference recent crime in that area. Also you might tune into the Chicago PD on Broadcastify, just to get an idea of what's going on nearby. Albany Park is in Zone 1, Districts 16 and 17. You will have to listen to the main channel as no separate one for that Zone.
