Hi,
I'm visiting Chicago and living on Union League Club of Chicago on 65 West Jackson Boulevard.

I looking for a PlayStation 4, and since they are all sold out where I live (Denmark), I'm hoping to bring one home from Chicago.
My questions is: Does anybody know, if there are any stores that could be selling PlayStations in the area of 65 West Jackson Boulevard?
I've checked GameStop, but hasn't been able to find other stores. Alternatively, I hope you can give me the names of stores, so I can check their website, if they have a store in the area

I hope you guys can help

Best regards
Sebastian

Even if the stores did sell PS4's, I bet they would be out. I don't know why you would think that they'd magically have them in stock, but you never know. There's no stores just for video games near that address. There's a GameStop nearby, but yeah. Your best option would be to hop on the trains either Red Line (towards Howard), Brown Line (Towards Kimball), or Purple Line headed and get off at the Belmont Stop. Go to the store People Play Games (People Play Games - Lakeview - Chicago, IL) which is near that train stop. Good luck, but be realistic about this one. It may be very hard to find. I have friends who have tried to find it at multiple places in town and have had no luck.

If you buy a PS4 here in the US you could fry it when you connect it back home in Denmark. Our power grid is 120v, whereas yours back home will be a much higher 240v. I killed my first PS2 this way.

Maybe PS4s are dual voltage though.

Video game stores in big cities almost always run of out of the hot new gadget immediately. You'd have to go to deep in the burbs or the backwoods for a chance.

Games are also in a different format from the EU release. US/Canada/Mexico are on NTSC format while Europe and Australia use PAL format... e.g. a US PS4 won't work in Europe or play European games.

That is (mostly) incorrect. For the PS3, there was only one game that was region locked, and it will probably be the same for the PS4.
