I recently discovered the Macy's food-court on State St. What other gems exist that most people don't know about? Merchandise mart has a small one.

You were there at lunch time I presume and you still say "most people don't know about"? That place is packed.

Their basement also has a food court.

There's a food court in the Federal Building on Jackson.

The 7th Floor Macy's thing is essentially just a big cafeteria. The AT&T Building on Franklin has a cafeteria on the 2nd floor, so does the Chase building on Madison and the Bank of America Building on Lasalle and 135 S Lasalle, both in the basement.

Too many to list.

Some faves are the Equitable Building (has river seating), the Kirkland and Ellis building, Food Life in the Water Tower Mall, 55 East Monroe, and the "Northbridge Westfield", or whatever the mall with Nordstroms in it is called.

Some will be short of mediocre, but have one little gem like an awesome felafel stand (food court just northwest of the Thompson Center on Lake).

The French Market is really unparalleled. I would have listed it, but didn't want to degrade it by calling it a "food court".

I like the food court in the basement of the Thompson Center, although it can feel like a dungeon sometimes. Also right on the el.

M Burger is better than your average food court offering, for sure.

Amen. French Market is great...I wish it were twice as big.

Award for ****tiest food court goes to 201 N Clark, although Green Apple on the 2nd floor of it (Korean/Vietnamese) is actually pretty good.
