I'm wondering if anyone has a good online (internet) or other source for real time traffic information? The interstates, us and state highways and major arterials from downtown out to and including arterials?

All the local news sites. Google Maps is awesome now with real-time traffic as rparz mentioned.

There's also sites such as...

Chicago Traffic Live Google Map, Free Traffic Report Website and Conditions

It's really whatever you think is easier for you to read and use. You can't go wrong with any of them.

Of course if you wanted another source, you could always buy a TomTom or Garmin navigator that has live traffic and some of them even give you the quickest re-route a mile or two before that traffic when you're driving.

LOL, since traffic is not an issue where I live, I had no interest in the Google Maps stuff. I never thought it was worth anything, but if you say so, I'll check it out now.

As for the other links, thanks much. I'll check them out.
