You could try Clear, I tried but they were at capacity in our immediate area and weren't taking more customers until they had increased infrastructure so their service wouldn't suffer. I was annoyed, but then again, it is refreshing to see a company put service for existing customers as a higher priority than the usual mindless growth model.

Thanks everyone, but there is an unsecured network closeby that I was able to connect to . It kind of came and went so I will test it out for a week and see how it goes. If it's too unreliable then I will seek some internet providers.

I just moved and bought into Comcast $20/month for 6 months. Than $45 for the next 6 months, than $65 :-0 There is no contract so we will leave them once we get a feel for what we need better.

Wow why do they increase it like that? Seems like a bad business move. And they aren't small increases of like $5 it's significant. I have heard nothing but bad things from comcast as well.

Usually it's an introductory offer then it goes to a 2nd offer -- and then after that to the regular pricing. They've usually done it in yearly increments instead of 6 months, but it's different for every area sometimes.

Yea, we don't plan on staying with Comcast. We had a modem that would work with Comcast, and to save money from the initial move expenses, we decided to go with them. More than likely, we may switch to AT&T because that's who our phones are through.
