I won the Mega Millions last year. Yep, $14 richer and I'm still here.

Gods, I'm not even sure I'd still live in the US! At least not full time. I'd set up a home base in the US, most likely in the East Coast somewhere (no love for the Midwest left). Somewhere a bit isolated like Upstate NY or Western MA. I'd probably ow something in the Caribbean, France, and travel around. I'd retire to my relatively humble abode in NY or MA during the late spring to write and enjoy nature. No crazy mansions, pricey cars, or diamonds for me.

Yes I'd stay but I wouldn't get a super big house, just a respectable size home and use those for winnings for better things.

I would too, but I'd always want to maintain a home base in the U.S. that I could always return to whenever I tired of exploring the world for awhile.

Hella yes! I'd take my family and best freinds and move out to either Lake County, IL, or the western part of Michigan along the lake and get a cute lil cottage to live in. no more commute!!! no more going to work every day! i'd probably ge too antsy staying home, so i'd work 4 hours a day 4 times a week at something fun.

Nothing happened per se, I'm just not a Midwest person. I miss the ocean, hills, mountains, and forests I used to wander around on the East Coast. It took moving out here for me to realize that.

I understand. I thought that Lake Michigan might fulfill your need for a large body of water, but perhaps the lack of vegetation ( i.e forests) might not sit well with you. ( although it should bepointed out that eastern MA is fairly ordinary in terms of woods/forests, while VT/NH/ME are heavily forested, and not too far away)...

Of course, then I realized that tobaganning probably isn't a big thing in the level Midwest, so perhaps you're just missing the exciting crashes at the bottom of a steep, snowy hill..
