I enjoy the show and hope it's successful enough to remain on the air for a few years.

It's been successful enough to where Dick Wolf is planning a spinoff with a CPD show.

'Chicago Fire' Spinoff Reportedly In The Works At NBC

I personally like the show myself.

Didn't we already have this with the Chicago Code? I'm guessing this show will be different in some way, but even a show as good as that one couldn't survive for more than one season.

It's sad that got cancelled. It had some real potential. It wasn't just another crime show, the plot each week got better and better.

Dick Wolf has had success with other shows. He may with another one.

I like Chicago Fire a lot, but personally wish they'd focus on this show, rather than thinking about doing a spinoff already. I don't think I can think of any other show that had a spinoff after only one season.

I have never watched this show. How are the ratings? Is it likely to survive?

They're good enough that it got extended to a 24 episode 1st season and renewed for a 2nd season. It seems to be steady for now. With these types of shows, I can never really tell if they're going to maintain their ratings or if they will get repetitive after a while.

Wellp, pretty much confirmed now as NBC picked it up a few days ago. The last episode actually had the cast from the soon to be show in it.

a fan of the show and have been wondering if you residents ever catch the cast and crew milling about somewhere in downtown while filming. seems they might get in the way sometimes in such a busy city.
and you're right about the scenery. saw one show where they were at the Hancock observatory (not for a rescue) and another where they were called out to a rescue on either State or Wabash. you could see parts of Marina City in the background. and the Sears tower can be seen in almost every episode.
