But I still don't feel like I know the neighborhoods that well & don't get a good vibe about that general area. I've heard in general that Lakeview=nice, & Uptown=sketchy, but Buena Park seems to inspire conflicting views. The area north of there (Wilson L stop), & even south (Grace to Irving Park) seem slightly sketchy & there's a lot less people walking around than my area of Lakeview. Would I be giving up a degree of safety there? I'd really appreciate and comment or advice from residents who know the area. Thanks so much!
I lived at the corner of Bittersweet and Clarendon, ever so long ago when the neighborhood was not considered a good one. Back in the mid-70s. Two different apartments over the span of maybe 7 years. It's so vastly improved now. I can't think of a reason to suggest you not move there. It's a great neighbporhood. Fantastsic public transit opportunities. There's the park, the lake, beaches, etc., etc. What's not to like. I say all of this as someone who has friends in the neighborhood and who gets onto that street and adjacent several times monthly.

Yeah, ghosts and zombie attacks are a problem on Kenmore. People just think they're Uptown bums.

I think his Greenview Victorian was further south -- like between Roscoe and Cornelia.

I do recall that Joan Cusack owned one of those big homes on that section of Greenview north of Irving Park Road.
