Just asking these b/c I noticed the Green Line has been getting a bit of an upgrade recently with Morgan opening and Cermak being built.

1) How IS that shiny new Morgan Street station working out, by the way? There's a lot of glass around it and I was wondering if it's helping to deter some of the weather.

2) I read somewhere a while back that CTA was thinking about sticking another station at either Damen or Western. Anyone know if that's going anywhere or if that's just a baseless rumor?

Thanks.

Seems to work just fine. It doesn't "deter" weather, but it does afford some protection from it.

I'm not aware of any serious plans (yet) to add stations there, although it would certainly be on the longer-term list of possibilities.

I'd love the green line if it weren't so insanely scary to make a bus transfer at Garfield and King Drive after dark. It would be nice if the Cermak stop were finished before the red line closure, but we can't always have what we want.

Very scary around that area (is that Englewood? Washington Park?) at night. I posted something about waiting for the 55 before and got some crazy responses about my being a scared northsider or some garbage. It's amazing that there isn't at least a tiny of bit of security there or even adequate lighting; I'm sure Hyde Park residents would love to have night-time access to downtown that involve the green line, but it's completely unacceptable as is.
