Well, all you had to do was pay for the sticker on time you would not have had to pay all of those extra fees. The renewal notice was sent a long time ago.

At least your car wasn't impounded.

You blatantly broke the rules of car ownership and all they did was send you a bill.. That's how I see it, anyway.

It's like people who go months without sending in thier car payments. And all the bank does (for now) is charge a late fee.

Personally, I have had my car towed away for a parking violation in Chicago.

You gotta pay your bills, man. It makes perfect sense to me that this would be pricier than a speeding ticket.

Two years ago I forgot to get my city sticker. After the last day, a Rolling Meadows cop was literally there at 12 midnight at my apartment complex looking at the cars and writing tickets.

Yeah, you're right, city sticker is the city, I just have a rant about the county with all the stuff we see on the news re Todd Stroger and his bunch.

Todd is gone. Preckwinkle is doing a pretty good job at the county.

AND the late fee of buying your sticker as well.

*If* you wanted to be crafty, you could print out a new lease with your name and your landlords name, scribbble a signature on it and present it as you just moved in and they got you before the 30 day cut-off.

Someone needs to make dupe city stickers or someone needs to steal some from where ever they store them and sell them on the street.
