Besides city pass is there any other way to get heavily discounted museum and attraction tickets? I read the library used to offer some kind of pass for loan? I know there are free days, but I am looking to give my out-of-town visitors something they can use on their short trips.

Students get discounts, as do residents (they usually just ask for your zip code).

Aside from that I doubt it. The attractions have fairly high demand, not much of a reason to discount them.

No, they still offer the passes, but you have to be a resident. And you may now also have to have kids. All which I qualify for

exactly. there are a ton of library branches and they all have passes. if you can't find the one you want at a specific branch, try another branch. you used to get them for a week but they recently changed the policy and i'm not sure what the new lending period is. it was nice having it for a week because you could get them midweek before other folks grabbed them and use them over the weekend.
