Yeah, I was going to suggest using headphones. It's pretty rare these days that people are blasting music through speakers. Most people just throw on the headphones unless they are having a party, and that takes care of loud music pollution

As for working out, that's a harder one.

As long as you are reasonable, I'd think you can figure this out.

When I lived in a suburban apartment, we had this crazy lady below us that would bang the ceiling with her broom handle any time we even stepped loudly. After months of this we finally went down there. She wouldn't answer the door and threatened to call the police. We called them instead - she was making there unlivable. The police talked to her, then came up and told us we were dealing with a very deranged neighbor. She was out of the apartment a couple of weeks later.

Now I have to say that I know for folks who've invested in specialized work out gear, whether it is some costly internet connection "spin bike" or combat style training equipment or even just inexpensive kettle bells their goal is to use these when it is convenient for them but you need to consider the literal impact on other tenants.

Maybe limit your work out to when you know the other tenants are gone or when they are showing / dressing -- not too many can hear over their own blow dryers and such.

I'd also suggest investing in good sound isolating work out style wireless earbuds so the music is heard only by you. If you can add suitable padding / mats / sound deadening panels to the walls and floors that might help lessen the transmission of noise.

If your building has a "work out room / fitness area" maybe you can carry your gear to this space.
you know you responded to a 6 year old post, right?
