My family will be moving to Chicago in mid-June. We are looking for rentals in the Lincoln Square / Ravenswood area....I've looked on Craigslist but what I'm finding is the same place posted by different people. My question...Does anyone know of a good rental agencies that I could call? I'm just not sure who to trust.

Chicago Apartments For Rent - 1st Chicago Apartment Rentals
They're overpriced, IMHO, but the places are clean and nice.
Cagan Management Group, Inc. - Home - they have 2 rentals in the Lincoln Square and Ravenswood neighborhoods. Good stuff, but not as pricy.
You didn't mention if you're looking to rent a 2 BR apt, condo, house..or what.
I just spent this whole week (and part of last) hunting for 1BRs in LS/Ravenswood. I found that so much stuff is pretty cramped and priced pretty crazy.
Also, if you're looking in mid june, I'm not sure of the quality of units you'll find. Stuff for May 1st is disappearing RIDICULOUSLY quick, and it's not even April 1st yet.

I don't know of any specific one that is good to be honest. I had some really bad problems with Chicago Apartment Hunters. The guy that was showing me around was taking me to places that were nothing close to what I was looking for. When he finally took me to one that I liked, he gave me the wrong price and the real price was actually $200 more than I was looking at. When I told him I didn't want it because of the price he got a little angry and I told him to forget it all. I found a place by doing my own search 3 days later.
