Ok guys, here is my predicament. I have a flight at 7:30am from O'Hare on Sunday morning. I live very close to the Prairie View Metra stop in Buffalo Grove. As you know, the North Central line does not run on weekends.

What is a cheap way for me to get to O'Hare airport on Sunday morning in time for my flight? I'm willing to spend around $10 in various fares. Thanks.

This is going to be a 3-week trip, so parking at O'Hare is out of the question as it will be something like $200 for even the off-site lots.

Alternatively I have a buddy who lives near the Harlem Blue Line stop. Anyway to get there on Saturday night and spend the night at his place?

Note that I usually drive over to his place and park on his driveway when I'm flying out of O'Hare. However, as you know, with the blizzard, he barely has enough room for one car to fit in his driveway.

I don't know. He can pick you up?

Can't you just pay for a taxi to O'Hare? If you are that strapped for cash that you can't afford a cab, you should not be going on a trip anywhere.

American Taxi has a flat rate of $31 to O'Hare. Or the Go Shuttle charges $33 from Buffalo Grove (bizarre since it's supposed to be a shared ride!).

I'd recommend paying your buddy to come and pick you up. A couple of beers will probably cover it. A cab to either Arlington Heights or Deerfield Metra, then a ticket to the city and another ticket out to Rosemont is going to cost you more than $10 anyway and that's your only other option.

North Central Line (which is the line within walking distance of me) doesn't run on weekends.

Cough up the money for a cab or you are SOL or try on craigslist to find someone to give you a ride.
