People who leave and then return with a new name can be spotted a mile away.

That was more convincing.

Wait, no it wasn't.

Chicago is cold six months of the year from Oct to April. It is not like is consisently 60+ everyday in April and October. It could be 40 or 70 and 80 and that is only for a few days. The point is does not get consisently nice or warm until around May 15 and only last until the end of September that is only rough 4.5 months nice consisent warm weather. Warm to me over 65 constantly and not too much variation.

I am really a couch potato but 50-65 is not too cold to be outdoors if you are dressed appropriately.
I am also not the type to wear shorts in anything over 50(some people do).

Here anything over 50 is considered “nice”. Now 50-70 really isn’t have outdoor event type weather but if you want to stroll in the park it is just fine provided you are dressed right.

I would not be in shorts at 65, but if you want to use the park a heavy jacket or nice windbreaker will do for a stroll. This is the weather that jogging suits are made for. In addition if you are active you can work up a quite a sweat at 60.

The only problems with 50-70 will be if it is rainy or if it is windy. If rainy then no way you should be in the park (too cold to get wet really) and if it gets windy enough 60F can feel like 40.

If you live in Chicago you just accept that April, October, and to a lesser degree December are wild card months. May is usually fine in the day unless it is a rainy one.

Usually, yes, but sometimes we get 40-50 degree days in June - it's not *always* consistent.

Yes check out the news at night when they give the record highs and lows.... Every day for the past week the record high has been upper 50s and the lows 20 or more below zero. That's quite a spread!

I recall wearing shorts on New Years Day a few years ago. 2000 I think.
