Hi All, I've lived in Los Angeles and worked in sports and tv production for the last 7 years and have been thinking about a change lately and Chicago is near the top of the list. Clearly LA and NY are the places to be for this field, but to me NY is just too expensive and Chicago is a lot of the things I like about New York minus a lot of the things I hate, at about a 40% discount it seems. Just wondering if anyone is involved with or has a good feel for the industry out there. I have a decent amount of experience with sports and live broadcasts, and I figure as far as sports cities go it's hard to top Chicago. And for those with concerns about the cold, I grew up in Buffalo, NY and Connecticut and went to college at Penn State. So while I have become quite acclimated to SoCal weather, I do know what I'm getting msyelf into. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Let us know if you have luck, I am also interested in media production. I am a semester away from a degree in Advertising along with a minor in Media Production and I have always been interested in producing things for TV.

Actually better yet, tell me everywhere you are applying so I can try to steal that position =)

The job market sucks for most job titles almost everywhere including Chicago.
