Suggest places for outdoor private tent dinner in/near Chicago (Oak Park: rental, homes)

I am trying to find a location to host a private outdoor lunch/dinner for about 100 guests. Lots of the country club's don't allow outside caterers (which I would like to do).

and the couple that I have heard from is a little pricey. Can you guys suggest a place where I can host an outdoor dinner? If I can rent the space even i can take care of tent, chair, table etc rental if that is an inexpensive option. Of course, the place has to have some appeal and not just be out in open fields.

Your request is too vague. It is much like asking where to hold a similalr event in California. In Illinois you have 75.000 miles from which to select. If you could be more specific perhaps someone can help.

A forest preserve grove.

I WAS being vague. I am looking for something in Chicago or within 40 miles of it .

I am going to throw out a couple of ideas and then move this to Chicago forum.

It seems to me it is difficult to have ambience in a tent unless you are at the White House; If the money is available. there are lake cruises - lunch or dinner. I don't know what or if you can do anything in Oak Park. -- the largest collection of Frank Llody Wright homes in the world. Botanical Gardens; zoo or wild animal enclave; waterfront - perhaps Navy Pier. The problem with a picnic for 100 is the uninvited "guets" - which makes me think of a Theater In The Round or circus Big Top.

I was in food service fr a number or years I understand what you want; you need a lot of private space, but I do'[t know enough about Chicago.or the immediate area to make a good suggestion. for a venue with facilities. .
