This new management really sucks. Now Steve Cochran is gone. Who's next?
This used to be one of the best a most respected stations for decades.

As long as they have Jackie Bange I don't care. That is the only reason I watch their news anymore.

AM radio, for the most part, is a dying format, especially if you are focusing on local issues.

The only formats that seem to be in vogue right now is syndicated right wing windbaggery and sports radio. WGN had a little of each (Jerry Agar is a bit more thoughtful and less incindiary than the national talkers, and WGN had a decent weekend afternoon sports call in show), but those who seek those formats will stick to the stations that give them those 24/7.

Its a station without a focus, an identity, and in danger of losing its voice altogether. A retread Garry Meier is not a viable afternoon talk show.
