Contempt of court maybe, but no gunfire.
I like when guys like you show up. Most of us have been up since 3pm the day before working a full shift and are running on fumes. Sometimes some good humor and a Judge smackdown brightens those long mornings.

Spare me the "woe is me, I work too many hours" crap. Police officers are well paid with good benefits and rightfully so, especially if they're Chicago cops on tough beats. The last thing people who work their butts off for nothing need to hear is complaints about a worker complaining about a good job.

Wow, who woke up on the wrong side of the bed Chummy? I was actually throwing out a compliment. I found your post entertaining. Maybe you need a bit more sleep. No complaining on my end I like the sarcastic Chummy better than the cranky one. Hey, I'm all for people expressing their Rights and I highly encourage it. All I said was sometimes when you are dragging ass being up a bunch of hours and going on 17 hours of work, the guys that bring a "spark" to Court and break the mundane usually put a smile on our face. For the record I almost never write traffic tickets and I only give them to people that truly earn them. I leave the average working guy alone. Most of my Court time is from legit crimes, not traffic violations.
