I'm a Single mother of 3 teenagers and will be moving to Ill, and really have no clue where to start on what is a good area to live. I will be working in Hoffman Estates, My 16yr old son is a wrestler and I would be willing to move to the best wrestling High school in the area. Any suggestions would be wonderful.

The last several seasons private schools have dominated IHSA wrestling: IHSA Boys Wrestling Champions & Runners-Up

Montini is in Lombard, a western suburb, Orland Park and New Lenox are southwest.

Hoffman Estates is northwest...

You might want to try and get the inside scoop from some of these people: Illinois Matmen | Illinois' Premier Wrestling Website

Personally, even though I went to University of Iowa and know that wrestling can be a good path to college, I do not think the academically oriented schools make a big effort to have a competitive wrestling program in Illinois. You may find that few schools are well ranked by USNews AND have competitive wrestling. Might need to dig deep to find best compromise.

The best wrestling team in the the Chicago area is at Brother Rice Catholic High School, its on the south side of chicago on 100th and pulaski. It's in a very safe area right on the border of both OaK Lawn and Evergreen Park. It's one of the top 50 catholic high schools schools in america, but the downside of it is its an all boys school and toution plus cost of books is $8000 per year.
