Pick your fave, and if you have the time, explain why.

Today we see Oak Park face off against Hinsdale. Choose wisely, young Jedi.

I gotta go with the 'dale on this one. Has everything I want in a town.

There is something about Hinsdale's downtown that I just adore. I hate suburbs, but there's something about that one that I dig. It's what i wish more suburbs were. I don't like all the tear downs, but that's just life.

Honestly, if I had that kind of money I wouldn't live there, to me it's not what I want out of life, but it's a nice Saturday stroll.

No Cook County taxes!

(Unless you shop at the Whole Foods on Ogden, of course with the other one on 63rd I wonder how long before the location on County Line Rd is shutdown -- Go Todd Stroger! Go! Way to drive business to DuPage!

I voted Oak Park (obviously), but, really, is it a fair fight?

The two are almost completely different places.

But perhaps this isn't a comparison contestant, but simply a preference survey.

I could live in Hinsdale, but for that kind of money there are dozens of other places I would rather live.

I paired the two for a few reasons... closer to the city, both have nice downtowns and gorgeous neighborhoods, both have Metra access, etc.

^^ ... Both have walkable downtowns. They are different, but not that different. You could have said to compare Oak Park and Oak Brook ... they have much less in common.

Who could possibly vote for the hideously monstrous teardowns surrounding downtown Hinsdale over the beautiful neighborhoods of Oak Park?
